The Tigers maintained their unbeaten record in the league last Friday as they secured an 84 – 34 win over the 2nd placed crows. The teams scoring was led by Komo with 18 points and 6 assists, followed closely by Evan Longman with 15 points and Akin with 15 points and 7 steals.
The teams defence was the highlight of the game, as they did not allow the opposition to score more than 9 points in a single quarter and kept them to only scoring 18% of their field goal attempts. The team as a whole also achieved a whopping 19 steals, which allowed the tigers to pull away from the crows as the game wore on.
Another key highlight from the game was Longman’s buzzer-beater three-pointer, which helped the team to go into half-time with a very commanding 44-18 lead.
Following another impressive win, the team looks forward to their next fixture against Guru Nanak on Wednesday 9th February at home. The teams next fixture in the league will be against Iroquois, where we will be playing on their court in Gravesend on 15th February, and look to keep the league’s unbeaten streak intact.
