The Kent Tigers are on the prowl for a new jersey partner and hired a sports marketing agency to make it happen.
The team announced Wednesday it has partnered with firm ScoutPlus as a third-party agency to find a new patch partner for the 2022-23 season.
Terms of the new partnership were not provided.
The Tigers, who was founded in 2021, has a current kit partnership with sports brand Timeline Athlete, who produces all Tigers kits and merchandise. The deals value is undisclosed.
In the release announcing the ScoutPlus agreement, the Tigers said, “the potential estimated sponsorship media value of the team’s jersey patch for the 2022-2023 season could be very incisive due to the plans the club has in regards to social media visibility.”
Companies that purchase the jersey patch covet the brand awareness obtained when the team produces it’s social media content and while playing in big tournaments.
“We view the Tigers as a great potential national brand with future international presence via social media platforms,” said Sten Mayunga, Tigers general manager and co-owner, in a statement. “It’s important to us to partner with an agency whose reach equals our ambition. ScoutPlus understands the potential values of the Tigers organisation and our desire to find a jersey patch sponsor that aligns with those values.”
